Janice Gray studied at GSA 1984-80 and is the winner of several prizes and awards. Her subject matter landed her the post of Artist in Residence at Edinburgh Zoo for a spell. Highly idiosyncratic watercolours involving animals (pigs, cats, lemurs), birds (hens, guinea fowl, pheasants and penguins), shoes, hand-bags, side-boards, chairs with animal fabrics, flowers, fruit… all annotated and labelled. Quirky, decorative, beautifully drawn, witty and very uplifting.
