The Scottish Gallery presents Modern Masters XIX at the British Art Fair 2025, held in the iconic Saatchi Gallery. Celebrating post-war Scottish art, our presentation brings together landmark works by Joan Eardley, Sax Shaw, James Cumming and many more. From tapestry to print, abstract to expressive, the selection reflects our enduring commitment to artists across their careers. The Gallery offers collectors the opportunity to discover some of Scotland’s most vital creative voices.

This May, we continue our exploration of the beauty of the still life genre with an exhibition dedicated to objects that blend the functional with the sculptural. Objects often take on extraordinary significance through everyday use or by reflecting the world around us, shaping and defining our lives. We have brought together both familiar and new artists to the gallery in celebration of our commitment to outstanding craftsmanship.

Still Life | The Beauty of the Ordinary offers a small homage to the monumental Les Choses exhibition held in The Louvre in 2022. Still life remains a thriving and classic genre in Scottish art practice.

Monochrome brings together a selection of UK and international artists, showcasing ceramics, glass, wood, sculpture, furniture, and jewellery, all united under the theme Monochrome. Each artist plays with the use of a single colour to evoke emotion, contrast or harmony, highlighting the striking power of simplicity in tone, form and material.
