The firm of Aitken Dott & Son, later known as The Scottish Gallery, has played a pivotal role in the promotion and success of The Scottish Colourists during the early to mid-20th century. We are the only gallery still operating who represented all four artists during their lifetime and beyond. The Gallery helped shape Scotland’s artistic landscape, by providing a crucial exhibiting platform for the Colourists and embracing the artists’ bold, modern approach to painting.
