Degree shows 2021 | Creativity Strikes Back

1 July 2021

Across the UK, creativity is striking back as Degree Shows 2021 highlight the talent and innovation of recent graduates in spite of the pandemic. The Royal College of Art puts Creativity as a Universal Language at the heart of their mission statement and Degree shows across Scotland have produced both digital and real graduate shows. In the meantime, we congratulate all the students who have bravely worked on despite the challenges. Below we give access and insight to the Scottish degree shows as well as the RCA, London.

The students have spent their final year of study in and out of lockdown. It seems they have become all the more determined to create something meaningful in the face of such uncertainty.

The achievements of our 2021 graduates are truly remarkable. They have sustained and developed their creative work through successive lockdowns and remote working, since March 2020 through to the summer of 2021, in the most challenging of circumstances.

The RCA’s renowned graduate exhibition is taking place online as a digital discovery platform complemented, where possible, by a festival of physical satellite events around London from the end of June through the summer and beyond. Each student has their own page, and RCA2021 allows you to explore creative work through traditional pathways, such as by programme, school or artist, and also through themes and collections.
