EAF (Edinburgh Art Festival) is the UK’s largest annual festival of visual art, and returns from 9 – 25 August 2024. This year, EAF celebrates its 20th Birthday and invites audiences to join in a moment to pause, and consider how we have arrived here. EAF24 will reflect on the conditions under which we live, work, gather and resist. This 20th edition will take place across the capital with 55 ambitious projects and exhibitions across more than 35 partners and venues. We are delighted to be taking part with two world class exhibitions:
Geoff Uglow | Beyond the Clouds
The Scottish Gallery has represented Geoff Uglow since the late 2000s. Beyond the Clouds includes works from a series made in Edinburgh both past and present as well as his spectacular Rose Garden paintings.
Koji Hatakeyama | Scenes in Bronze
Scenes in Bronze, a new series of bronze cast boxes, marks Koji Hatakeyama’s fifth exhibition with The Gallery and two years since his major retrospective at Musée Tomo. Hatakeyama is recognised internationally as a master of his craft in a country renowned for objects deeply connected to the traditions, ceremonies, and beliefs ingrained in Japanese cultural history.
