Join us for the opening of our October exhibitions and meet Angie Lewin, who will be with us to celebrate her major new exhibition Cultivated Colour. We will also be joined by The Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust for the opening of Printed Rhythms | Prints 1992–2004.
Angie Lewin’s exhibition brings together more than fifty new watercolours inspired by the flowers she grows in her Scottish hillside garden and the wild plants of the surrounding landscape. Alongside it, Printed Rhythms celebrates the extraordinary late flowering of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham’s printmaking.
Come and see all three exhibitions, meet Angie Lewin and the Barns-Graham Trust and enjoy live music as we launch October at The Scottish Gallery.
Please note that The Gallery is on two floors, which is accessed by sets of stairs. Our Garden is open during fair weather only.
The Scottish Gallery House Rules for Events
The Scottish Gallery is delighted to welcome visitors to our exhibitions, events and private views. We offer a warm and inclusive environment where artists, collectors, friends, and first-time visitors can enjoy art, conversation, and hospitality.
To ensure everyone has a positive experience, we kindly ask all guests to:
- Treat our artists, visitors, team and neighbours with courtesy and respect
- Enjoy refreshments provided during the event in the spirit in which they are offered
- Drink responsibly and behave in a manner appropriate to a public cultural event
- Respect the artworks, displays and Gallery spaces at all times
- Follow any reasonable requests made by members of the Gallery team
The Scottish Gallery is an independent, privately owned gallery. While our exhibitions are free to visit during normal opening hours (Tuesday – Friday 10.30 – 6pm and 11-2pm on Saturdays), our events are hosted by invitation or registration and are intended to provide an enjoyable experience of The Gallery for all guests. We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask any individual to leave an event where their behaviour is inconsistent with the welcoming atmosphere and values of The Scottish Gallery.
