Edmond Byrne's mould blown glass aims to evoke an emotional response. From his large ethereal stacked vessels to signature sprawling tableaux, Byrne’s vessels use the materiality of glass to examine the science and psychology of colour. With Ensemble, Byrne moves in a new direction exploring the totem as a creative device for assembling ‘off cuts’ - glass parts that would normally be discarded during the making process in the workshop, that are instead collected and reassembled into exquisite objects.
