This exhibition is taking place at The Garden Museum in London.
This October, The Scottish Gallery and The Garden Museum, London celebrate Dame Elizabeth Blackadder (1931 – 2021). Favourite Flowers was scheduled for February this year and now marks the first Memorial exhibition to celebrate her life and art.
Elizabeth Blackadder is considered one of Scotland’s greatest artists, celebrated for her beguiling and lyrical paintings of flowers. A passionate plants woman, Blackadder’s garden in Edinburgh provided her with rich inspiration year round, from daffodils to autumn leaves, tulips, irises and lilies. Favourite Flowers pays tribute to one of the UK’s most loved artists.
