Oliver Cook | Soft Divide

Working primarily in alabaster, Oliver Cook (b.1992, Bristol) creates vessels and sculptural objects that are at once solid and atmospheric, shaped as much by light as by the hand. Soft Divide also introduces a new body of work in bronze.

About Oliver Cook

Oliver Cook

Oliver Cook (b.1992, Bristol) creates abstract sculptures and vessels in alabaster, a material whose translucency allows light to become an active element within the work. Self-taught, his practice has developed through a sustained engagement with making, evolving from wood, ceramics and metal into a focused exploration of stone.
