The Making of Elizabeth Blackadder Tapestries | Dovecot Studios

The process and the cutting off ceremony of Dame Elizabeth Blackadder’s 30th tapestry: Flower and Black Cat. Woven at Dovecot Studios by Emma Jo Webster. Artist Alberta Whittle helped cut off the loom and Director Celia Joicey gave a speech. We are looking forward to hanging this beauty at The Scottish Gallery as part of Edinburgh Art Festival 2023.

Also showing the making of the Dragon Fruit and Oysters tapestry woven by Rudi Richardson at Dovecot Studios. This one will be on display at Dovecot Studios as part of the exhibition Scottish Women Artists: 250 Years of Challenging Perception.
