Inspired by William Wordsworth
We have been exhibiting the work of Gus Fisher since 2014. He is a former apprentice of the eminent British letter cutter and sculptor Richard Kindersley. Based in the Scottish Borders, Gus specialises in letter carving in both traditional and non-traditional materials and he has recently been inspired by the 250th anniversary of William Wordsworth. This has led to he creation of and my heart with pleasure fills – a special new work created for The Gallery.
Gus has created a fantastic short film that allows us to see how he creates this beautiful stone carving.
Gus Fisher, May 2020The inspiration for this piece has been the wonderful daffodils we have had this year along with Wordsworth's words - a message of joy and nature.
