Samantha Clark is a visual artist, writer, and artist’s writing coach based in Orkney, whose work reflects a meditative, deeply sensorial exploration of water in its many forms. Trained in tapestry and holding advanced degrees in environmental philosophy and creative writing, her layered, reflective paintings and drawings evoke elemental connections between place, time, and viewer. Her practice spans writing, public art, residencies, and the acclaimed memoir The Clearing (2020). In 2023, she received the RSA MacRobert Trust Art Award for Painting.
