‘This bowl was selected for the British Glass Biennale 2024. The oak leaves and acorns are only engraved on the outside surface, the rest appearing suspended on bowls inside, the air from the blowing iron forming a bubble in the thick walled bowl, creating the illusion of at least one bowl suspended within another. The brown overlay is in a colour that strikes, forming a variation in tone, depending on how much heat the glass was exposed to during blowing, allowing a far greater range of tones from brown to yellow’. – Katharine Coleman
