We hold this beautiful late example of Flöckinger’s work from c.1995–96. The ring features an encrusted silver shank with Flöckinger’s unmistakable organic textures and six coloured diamonds set across the surface. At its centre sits an extraordinary pink tourmaline, chosen not for flawless perfection but for its natural inclusions and inner life, qualities particularly admired by the Pre-Raphaelites. The stone is set in gold and nestles comfortably into the hand, balancing monumentality with wearability. The reverse bears Flöckinger’s classic maker’s mark, a quiet signature from one of the defining voices in modern jewellery.

Gerda Flöckinger (b.1927, Innsbruck, Austria) is regarded as one of the most important and pioneering jewellers of the twentieth century, celebrated for redefining contemporary jewellery through her sculptural, highly tactile approach to goldsmithing.
