Merete Rasmussen works with abstract sculptural forms, exploring the ideas of continuous surface, one connected edge or line running through the whole form, and the shape and discovery of a negative/inner space. Each stoneware piece is individually hand built using the coiling technique, and after firing sanded and sprayed with coloured slip.
