Calum McClure: Reflection

Calum’s new body of work is informed by recent travels throughout the United Kingdom, Germany and America. The exhibition is titled Reflection and explores themes of dereliction and decay, growth and renewal and signals McClure as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Scotland in recent years, proving again that painting is neither dead nor irrelevant.

Calum graduated in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in 2010 and won the prestigious Jolomo Painting Award in 2011. He spent most of 2013 working in Hamburg, Germany.
