Joan Eardley Centenary

A catalogue to accompany our Festival 2021 exhibition, Joan Eardley's Centenary.

This year marks the Centenary of Joan Eardley. The Gallery represented the artist during her lifetime and we continue to honour her life and art for the Edinburgh Festival. Highlights include the Macaulay portrait, exhibited for the first time, and we unveil July Fields The Joan Eardley Centenary Tapestry by Dovecot Studios alongside more than thirty paintings, pastels and drawings.

The publication includes essays by Guy Peploe, Lachlan Goudie and Professor John Morrison with vintage photographs courtesy of the Walker estate.
