Joan Eardley, In Context seeks to illuminate two imporant aspects of Joan Earldey. Firstly to explore how she came to paint what she did and secondly to tell the poignant story of how the example of her dedication to the life of an artist inspired a number of painted to form a loose colony at Catterline.

This exhibition catalgue includes work by Joan Eardley (1921-1963), James Cowie (1886-1956), James Morrison (b.1932), Angus Neil (1924-1992), Lilian Neilson (1938-1998).

The Gallery is now open Tuesday - Saturday. There is no need to book but please note you may be asked to queue outside if we are at capacity. Please contact The Gallery in advance if you have an questions, wish to view an artwork not on display, or wish to collect a purchase.

Sunday & Monday: closed

*The Gallery is closed on Monday 29th November - Wednesday 1st December while we rehang our exhibitions.

** The Gallery will be open 11am - 2pm on Saturday 27th November and limited hours on Saturday 4 December, 1-3pm.
