Coral Bark Maple - Wolf Moon by Victoria Crowe

We are delighted to announce that Victoria Crowe has released five further copies of her new silkscreen print Coral Bark Maple – Wolf Moon. Last week Victoria Crowe joined us in supporting the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, by donating one Artist’s Proof copy of her new silkscreen print. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The British Red Cross, supporting their work in Ukraine.

Victoria Crowe, Coral Bark Maple - Wolf Moon, 2022, silkscreen print, 54 x 40 cm

I’ve drawn and painted this coral bark maple many times; I love the way it glows with a fiery radiance through the darkest days of winter, and with this year's wolf moon, it seemed an appropriate image to support the Ukrainian conflict. The print will have a small written dedication at the foot, and the Ukrainian word for January, Січень, (distinctly different from the Russian word) and which is the month when the brilliant and ominous wolf moon occurred.

It is a silkscreen print made in collaboration with Scott Campbell at Glasgow Print Studio.

The contemporary artworks will be displayed alongside historic art from the Devonshire Collections rarely seen in public, including major works by Poussin and Rembrandt. The exhibition will run from 26 March – 9 October 2022 at Chatsworth House.
