New Paintings from the Studio

07 March 2018 - 31 March 2018

We welcome back Ann Oram for another solo show at the Scottish Gallery. New Paintings from the Studio explores a number of themes including; architecture, still life and landscape.

Ann Oram has exhibited with The Scottish Gallery for over thirty years. Her first exhibitions were exotic, rich urban landscapes: buildings familiar and foreign invested with character and mystery. Since her diploma at Edinburgh she has worked around Scotland, in France, Italy and Spain. Today she has landed in The Borders and in her first year looked at the characterful villages and a landscape changing with the seasons. She continues to paint the interior with still life; flowers both cut and gathered, objects collected, like Anne Redpath before her, from her travels and keen eye for shape and form. This small exhibition in our garden gallery is a welcome reintroduction to one of Scotland’s enduring and best loved painters.

Ann will be painting in the Gallery between 11am and 12noon on Saturday 24th March 2018
