<p>Katie Horsman was born in North London in 1911 and studied at the Royal College of</p> <p>Art, graduating in 1936. She joined the staff of Edinburgh College of Art in 1943 where</p> <p>she lectured in Design and Ceramics until 1976. She became a close friend to many of the</p> <p>artists of the Edinburgh School, in particular Redpath, Michie, McClure, Houston</p> <p>and Blackadder.</p>
