Frances Macdonald is one of Scotland’s most accomplished contemporary landscape painters, celebrated for her vibrant, expressive depictions of the western coastline and islands of Scotland. Working primarily in oil with a palette knife, Macdonald creates richly textured paintings that capture the energy, movement and changing atmosphere of sea, sky and shore.
