We are delighted to present Soft Divide, a new solo exhibition by Oliver Cook at The Scottish Gallery. Working primarily in alabaster and bronze, Cook creates sculptural vessels and forms that explore the relationship between light, material and space. His practice balances geometric clarity with organic movement, revealing the quiet translucency and internal structure of stone through carefully considered forms.

Oliver Cook (b.1992, Bristol) creates abstract sculptures and vessels in alabaster, a material whose translucency allows light to become an active element within the work. Self-taught, his practice has developed through a sustained engagement with making, evolving from wood, ceramics and metal into a focused exploration of stone.
