The ‘Vortex’ series expands on my ongoing research interests surrounding traditional goldsmithing practices in parallel with my interest in experimenting with metallurgy and the use of wire. I wanted to explore scale and form, while playing with techniques influenced by the ancient art of filigree to generate unique textures and shades of colour. – Andrew Lamb
