Still Life | The Beauty of the Ordinary offers a small homage to the monumental Les Choses exhibition held in The Louvre in 2022. Still life remains a thriving and classic genre in Scottish art practice. Rather than attempting a broad survey, we present a selection of contemporary and vintage works, showcasing how artists across disciplines turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. We therefore highlight the ongoing, diverse language of still life.
