We celebrate the New Year with our latest edition of Modern Masters, showcasing the artistic legacy of Robin Philipson (1916–1992), a central figure in the Edinburgh School and a pivotal influence on Scottish art. The exhibition also features artists who trained or taught at Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Dundee, while highlighting the significant contributions of Hospitalfield in Arbroath, a renowned centre for contemporary art and ideas. Modern Masters further explores the rich history of printmaking and its vital role in Scottish art. It also reaffirms The Scottish Gallery’s longstanding dedication to supporting artists, presenting a dynamic narrative of creativity, collaboration, and the evolution of Scotland’s artistic heritage.
